My 10 week old went through the Kasai surger. Its scary. Im scared, however I will be strong for her. I have read all of the comments regarding the families with children with Biliary Atresia, they help and give me hope. Egypt is a fighter and a joy.

Hi, stay strong and the best thing you can do is to give her more live and care. Keep her away from cold and flu, always keep the area clean, medicine on time etc. please ask any questions and I will try my best to answer. I have a 16month old with kasai. She is the joy of my life.
Congratulations on the birth of your little one. I know this is a scary time for you but know you are doing a great job. Stay strong and ask as many questions as you like.
We have a 12 year old who is top of her class, plays 3 instruments, 2 at county level and is singing in the Royal Albert Hall this month. She needs no medication and tells anyone who comments on her scar 'this is proof I am stronger than this thing called biliary atresia that tried to destroy me and my family'.
It's been tough at times especially the first three years but I am so proud of all my children for the way they have and continue to deal with what life throws at them.
My thoughts are with you. You are on the scariest rollercoaster ride of life but try to enjoy as much of it as possible. Put your arms around your little one, comfort her on the frightening parts, reassure her but most importantly love, laugh and make those happy memories you can both treasure.
Take care x
