When I have a blood test for my cholesterol and I dont fast, would my cholestrol be higher because of that???

There's another question on this. I think I'm right in saying that it's only triglcerides that vary with eating, so I'm not sure this would have much effect on total cholesterol levels.

Waiting for someone to put me right on this!

Yes you are correct

For the purposes of the test, triglycerides are included in Total Cholesterol. Your total cholesterol levels will vary depending on what and when you have eaten. That is why we still have to fast, unfortunately.
