HbA1c is a 90 day blood check. Even if there is one available, one has to be very careful.!!

A lab test for 90 day blood check has to be accurate.

One can take blood check every day fro 90 days and calculate the average but math do not work very well. Therefore a lab test is the best way forward.

I have a question around this post of arunks . Of late, has any one been using HbA1C kit in India? Could you share your inputs?

There are home test kit available, may be expensive to do at home for every three or four months and also may not be accurate!>

"HbA1c is what’s known as glycated haemoglobin. This is something that’s made when the glucose (sugar) in your body sticks to your red blood cells. Your body can’t use the sugar properly, so more of it sticks to your blood cells and builds up in your blood. Red blood cells are active for around 2-3 months, which is why the reading is taken quarterly."
