Hi to all! As a vegan with higher than healthy cholesterol, due to eating too many new, irresistible, tasty vegan foods flooding the market during lockdown. I’d appreciate any info’ from fellow vegans on which foods to avoid and how to actively lower my cholesterol, without having to use medication.

Vegans and high cholesterol.
Thank you for your response. I’ll request a copy of my lab results from my GP and check.
After an appointment with a dietitian at a lipid clinic, I thought I'd try adding some vegan products to my diet (I'm a vegetarian), but I was horrified when I started looking at the saturated fat content on the labels of some of them. Cheddar contains less fat than some vegan substitutes!
and cutting down the processed foods is a quick way of cutting down the refined carbs, isn't it?
hi.. Porridge oats no fruit.. reduce fruit intake a little as sugar can affect levels.. alcohol consumption can raise cholesterol.. and exercise at least 30 mins a day (dont go nuts doing marathon style jogging.. moderate exercise always..)and stay off processed vegan stuff.. eat as unprocessed as possible as they always have some detrimental ingredients to 'preserve' .. which can be very destructive to the body.
