Been taking for a while now my leg muscles hurt so bad. And my back.

Thought RYR would be a healthy alternative to statins. Im about to toss mine . and live as long as i can with high cholesterol. There is no proof of Cholesterol doing anything. And its a billion dollar industry. Really fed up!!

If you can't take Statins, I, have read that people can not tolerate Red Rice Yeast.

Try Oatmeal with Ground Flaxseed and Blueberries In It Every Morning For Breakfast.

Also search what foods help to lower chloresterol and try to add those to what you are eating.

RYR is thought to work similar to statins by inhibiting HMG-CoA but as a natural product, there can be more variation in exactly what dose you get.

Porrige or Brose made with 55g of oatbran (not meal) can be well worth having for many reasons as well as giving you a daily dose of beta glucan.

Some find the stanol (Benecol) or sterol (many brands) drinks work. Others find they get terrible upset stomachs.

Hi I ditched statins after 2 weeks as I could hardly walk. Doc said probably not statins but I’m convinced it was. Anyway took few painkillers and referred me to physio who said could be statins but wouldn’t comment truthfully so I did standing on tip toes balancing up and down 3 x 20 on bottom step three times a day and pain went miraculously 😳😳😳 now just occasional twinge but 99 percent improved so am hesitant about statins, or even trying a different one. Lifestyle improvements in progress. Just thought maybe my experience might help 😃

Yes!! Statins And RYR. Muscle pain. And another horrible side effect...raised blood sugar levels!!

I feel the same as you. Statins made me feel awful. Took ages to get rid of the leg pain, I’ll never touch them again.

I have a smoothie for breakfast with nut milk, banana, kale, cinnamon and milled flaxseeds and then just eat as healthily as I can. Don’t drink, don’t smoke, exercise daily so I’m doing all I can. Lidl sell a good selection of milled flax seeds.

I have been juicing healthy veggis. Eating better and exercising. Still taking RYR..not even sure its helping.

I need to be tested..Cholesterol levels..

Also sugar levels are on the rise since using RYR. Same as when i was on a statin. :-(
