Hellooooo everyone. Lost over 2 stones on a mostly plant based diet. Some fish and chicken. Do not want to lose anymore weight. Can anyone here please give me a little advice on what to eat to maintain my weight? Want to carry on eating healthy but pack the calories in. Thanks so much. All have a lovely day

If you pack more calories in you will gain weight again.

How many calories were you eating and what were you eating to lose 2 stone and how long did it take ?

Hellooooo meme . My diet was dire full stop. Ate everything white. Hence 2hy I have heart disease. I now eat very healthily. Lost 2 stones due to complete diet change and exercise. Want to just maintain not lose anymore weight. I could easily pack the calories in with junk but there is no way I would go near any of that stuff ever again. I can't.

LCHF should help maintain your weight, once you have burnt off excess body fat the fat in your diet will sustain your weight, it is important to use natural fats and oils and not vegetable fats, as the omega 3 omega 6 balance is not good. I stick to olive oil butter and animal & fish fat.

What we need to eat is butter, full fat milk and products. At the same time we need to exercise to make the efficiency in real shape.

Food intake has to be controlled by quantity, portion and how often we feed us?

I went through the same process but did not have a hard weight goal. I have kept my plant-based diet with mostly fish and occasional chicken.

Your body will find its natural weight and then stabilize there. As long as you are losing fat and not muscle you will be fine. Don't change your diet.

To ensure you don't lose muscle you need to exercise with weights 3 times per week. Make sure you are eating plant proteins like green peas, and other legumes as well as nuts and seeds.

Good luck.

Hi sos007. I will not change my diet. This is me now forever. Eating the way I did before has ruined my health. You get the people at work especially that tell me you are looking too thin and then make out you are purposely trying to lose more weight..... when that is simply not the case. Yes I could easily pack the weight on with white carbs, very easily. Right back in November I felt very poorly but I can honestly say I do feel a lot better now. Fingers crossed I just now want my plaque to stabilise so that I can continue to be pain free. Thanks for your valuable advice once again.

Hello Red18, I find the people that the people who tell me that I'm too thin are all over-weight, so I ignore them.

I'm glad to hear you are steadfast - it's lonely at the top ;)

You are correct 100%. The ones that pass comment are the ones that are overweight. I just think to myself , have a scare like I did and you will fully understand why I've changed. And you are right, food is your medicine
