Which Statin is best if you have anxiety?

I have been on 80mg of Lipitor (atorvastatin) for at least 9 years now. A couple of months ago I got pains all over my body and a specialist suggested going off the statin to see if it made any difference. I had a whole lot of bloods done as well so that the doctors were able to eliminate everything else.

Well absolutely nothing showed up in the bloods and the pains never went away. However, my severe anxiety that I had been suffering from for some time but more and more of late did go away completely. It is totally debilitating.

I never really connected the dots until the specialist diagnosed that seeing as everything else was ok that I probably have Fibro Myalgia and suggested seeing as my cholesterol had gone up over the two month period, I should go back on to the statin but half the dose.

Well the day after starting back on them I had the ghastly old anxiety come back and the next day as well.

Some may say it's too quick to tell but I'm now convinced the statin is causing my extreme anxiety.

Has anyone else gone through this and found a statin that didn't cause the anxiety?

I would greatly appreciate any advice on this subject.
