heartgirl, yes, two products: Dermol 500 for using both as a wash in the shower and afterwards as a moisturiser, and Childs Farm Moisturiser especially good for those with exzema-prone skin.

I was prescribed the former when experiencing an all-over body itch due to what a skin biopsy later proved to be caused by blood pressure medication. A year later, I have recently had a return of the itch, again due to yet another blood pressure medication. A friend recommended Childs Farm Baby Moisturiser after reading an article in the press by a Mum who had found it to be the only thing that helped with her baby's eczema. Boots had to order it in as there had been a run on it, and when I went to pick up the order, another Mum was asking for it, saying that it was the only thing that worked for her young daughter.

You might be wise to investigate the reason for the sudden arrival of your dry and itchy skin but, meanwhile, the above products will help, as will using just natural products and avoiding all those with perfume and other added chemicals.

Hope that helps, and good luck.

Hi Dottie,

Scroll through Heartgirl's previous posts and you'll see that she is/was on statins and posted a previous post similar to this post.

Statins cause a long list of side effects; some are very quickly visible and others are more gradual.
