I saw that in the mail. Dr Malcolm Kendrick has reported on it. It's shocking what they come with about statins.

Why keep posting their links here? Anyone who wants to read the Daily Fail can do so. They never cite their sources so it's rather difficult to check any of their claims and everyone should take it with a tonne of salt... because salt cures cancer doesn't it? Or was that last week?

PubMed has a summary of the original research, it's not an easy read!

Basically it seems to be saying that statins can have an effect on a lot of different, and apparently unrelated, health issues, which may or may not have anything to do with cholesterol. If statins might help stop the spread of cancer, that's good news.
