Diet and Cancer.

Along with the increasing data driven, scientific evidence revealing that actually the government/medical establishments' advice that saturated fat will kill you and the answer is a diet of healthy whole grain etc carbohydrates, comes another aspect underlining 'Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food'...

Were I a cancer sufferer I would take the information here very seriously. As it is I want to remain healthy and cancer free, so I do take it very seriously!

Mike,

Thanks. We all need to understand food intake control and how we can achieve a better life with out any medication. By eating better food that is not in a food plate. Food cooked in coconut oil, lard and butter.

And what happens if you don't like your food cooked in Lard or butter. And how much are you supposed to use. I cannot see that lard would ever be good for me. But hey what do I know.

Suggest you do a lot of research. An argument from ignorance is not very helpful.

It was a serious question. I don't like fat. I don't like my food cooked in fat. Its how I am. Its not an argument its a fact. Are we not allowed to ask? Relax and don't be defensive.

It wasn't a serious question and was treated rather gently in reply I thought. You can get all the information you need if you can be bothered to search.

The last three years has been a learning experience, for me to use coconut oil on toast was unthinkable, today I spend the money to buy virgin coconut oil to put it on toast! I use butter to make lunch.

Evening dinner my wife makes it. I never imagined I will dip fresh bread in virgin olive oil with salt and crushed black pepper as a starter!!

Time has come for change for me, only time will tell how long I got before I go on any medication!.

Animal fat, do I like it? When we cook curry from animal flesh there is fat, I have to go along with my family.

As my wife say it, last 42 years this way of cooking and eating has not done any harm why? change.

Any home cooked food fresh veg and other products with little oil or fat or butter is better than processed food.

Food intake control and regular exercise can help.

A much better answer than Mike's.

Yes you do as I do with the Olive oil.

But for other fats I don't like them so I steer clear of them.

I have some really great pumpkin oil from Stienz in Austria that I really love.

But butter and lard I don't do.

When io look at how my diet has changed since my heart attack it is amazing but my head and my taste buds just don't do the fat thing.

I think my diet is low carbs, low fat, veggies diet with lots of fish.

The question is when people say LCHF how much is HF.

Environment and food intake may contribute to cancer and there are other factors as well. Am doing a 6 weeks on line course given by bat University. Very interesting.
