I am unable to take statins and I am looking for guidance on how best to reduce my cholesterol and any foods that can be recommended to help. My cholesterol is Hereditary.

There are many on this forum who have FH (hereditary high cholesterol) and they will be more than happy to suggest and guide you. Myself, as someone with highish cholesterol 6.8, have seen a rise in HDL and drop in LDL with avoiding dairy, and drinking oat milk, eating oat based cereals and taking fish oils. Whether all this is a contributing factor is a moot point but as someone who is healthy, takes daily exercise (walking) is BMI 24 and feels better than I have in years since getting rid of my IBS (hence the dairy free diet) I can say that following a regime of a healthy diet and exercise cannot be overemphasised. Cut out smoking and watch the alcohol as well and you can't go far wrong. All the best to you.
Concerned's eating advice is for a healthy diet/lifestyle.
Following it (or similar) will reduce your LDL cholesterol levels as they improve your general health. No doubt your weight will drop and your insulin sensitivity will improve also. All great stuff.
One food that specifically lowers your cholesterol would be oats - and in particularly the soluble fibre beta glucan that they contain. It is recommended you need 3g of beta glucan a day for a beneficial effect - so that could be three bowls of porridge (or a bowl of porridge and then adding oats and oat bran into other meals and snacks throughout the day).
Other foods that are associated with lowered cholesterol (but they don't have an approved health claim) are soya foods.
