prostaglandin analogs (lash or brown serum) and rosacea

I thought I’d drop this here in case anyone might benefit. I’ve had rosacea for about 10 years. I use azaleic acid but other treatments have not been particularly successful. I have always had oily skin and only recently realised how badly my eyes are affected by the rosacea and oil combined. I started a brow and lash serum and within two days my face is the best it’s ever been. Redness is almost gone and my skin looks nearly normal. ChatGPT suggests it’s controlling oil on my skin. This is how I noticed my eyes were affected as they were a bit gritty to begin with but normalized. It turns out the oil was making my lashes horribly greasy and I was constantly cleaning them, the worst was first thing in the morning and it was affecting my vision. Now my eyes are fine in the mornings. My nose color is also back to normal, often it would look purple. I’m so pleased I tried it. I guess in my case rosacea and oil production are cofactors

That's really interesting kitkat72, thank you. My eyes are also affected by over oiliness and can feel gritty ... which I hadn't linked to rosacea until the last couple of years ... rosacea is the condition that just keeps on giving isn't it. Oily eyelashes drive me mad as they smear my glasses lenses the whole time. I will look into the lash and brow serum, thank you.

And just in case it's any help to other rosacea pals on here I also use Noveha Tea Tree Eyelid cleansing wipes, particularly first thing in the morning, to clear my eyes. Available from Amazon and not a budget breaker.

I used a tea tree cleansing gel as well but have stopped since starting the serum. I’m using grande lash (application to eyebrows first started results) the brow serum (QVC) is same formula as lash but you get a whole ml more (it’s just marketing) - good luck I hope it works for you. My eyes felt weird (dry I guess) as an adjustment to the lack of oil - that’s how noticeable it was!

I found the tea tree cleansing oil a bit too harsh ... these wipes are more gentle.

Can you let me know what the brand of brow & lash serum you are using? Thanks for the information!

Sure I’m using Grande Lash (QVC was the cheapest place). Brow serum has the same formula as lash and same applicator but you get 1ml more of product for same price. I had only applied to brows when I started noticing changes.
