Hi all,
Just had a crap day. The worst. I nearly exploded. Thankfully, Mrs CB and I are fine. It wasn't an issue between us, just ..... you know, life. Get the picture? I doubt you need a pencil!
So I put on some YouTube. Being especially grumpy today, I've had my favourite Pink Floyd on; a tune called "One of these Days".
Its only lyric, and its full title, are the same.
"One of these Days ... I'm going to cut you into little pieces!".
Oh gosh yes, was I grumpy!
But I found a incredible video on YouTube of another Pink Floyd video, and some guys reaction to it, having never heard it.
I hope the man forgives me for this, but he's a black guy, from the US, who looks like he's eaten from every barbeque going, and played continuous Grid Iron for years. He's a man of stature, and not your usual Floyd fan. But if he's listening to what I am, like I care ...
And he played a tune called "No more turning away". I salute him. Good choice.
The last verse has the lyrics.
"No more turning away
From the weak and the weary
No more turning away
From the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share
It's not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that there'll be
No more turning away?"
It talking about inclusion. This is your world. Only you can change it. I don't mean politics. I mean the way we are with each other.
And I thank that guy, gangsta-rapper Mr Grid Iron he may be, for bringing it back into my mind .... we'll played, Sir.
