I recently burnt my face with ethyl acetate nail varnish ( don't ask used wrong bottle). I thought I got it all off and the next day my face was all red burning.in places. Then my forehead had a shine that has not disappeared since February so I'm coming to terms that this is a scar. It's shiny. Also anywhere where I had a rough patch has come up to the surface and has scared. Like little pimples etc. They haven't disappeared. I'm devastated. I didn't go to gp because it was my own fault. Do shiny scars go eventually go or is that it. It glistens in light and it's like lines across my forehead where I thought it dripped. My makeup goes on it weird and my face is very dry.

Hello there and welcome to the Changing Faces community. I'm sorry you haven't received a reply to your question and wonder if that's because people don't really know. It's a pity you felt you couldn't go to your GP just because of the way it happened. I wonder if you were thinking that your GP might judge you? I'm sure other people here can identify with the feelings you have expressed and I hope you are able to access the support that you need.

Kind regards,
