My granddaughter has pots. She had been unwell for a year or two with unusual symptoms. Her GP after taking her heart rate etc and sent her straight to the hospital. Even though she has a diagnosis there is very very limited treatment.

Have you seen this website?

potsuk.org

A simple first step is to do a poor man’s tilt table test. You can do this at home if you have a way to measure heart rate and blood pressure, and you can ask a GP to do it as well.

You can get instructions here:

batemanhornecenter.org/nasa...

Note that POTS is just one type of orthostatic intolerance. Basically, when we stand, the body has to adjust the blood distribution to cope with blood falling down into the legs due to gravity. This is done by thousands of tiny unconscious adjustments made by the autonomic nervous system (ANS).

Problems with this system can show themselves via abnormal heart rate, blood pressure, and cerebral blood flow, in various combinations.
