Two trees, four textures; a mixed media painting

Really this was just playing around with my materials. It was fun. The composition is meant to invite each viewer in turn to examine each tree as a separate painting -- a kind of stand-alone. I hope you enjoy them.

On a darker note, I have an appointment with my oncologist on Monday afternoon to discuss whether my Xtandi has finally failed me and if we shall be moving to intravenous chemo. She has not disguised the fact that chemo would only be buying me time, and probably less of it that more. Ho hum. For the sake of both me and my wife, I need to be kept as distracted (and light-hearted) as possible.

Oh Brent, so sorry for what you are going through! 🙏But keep on painting 🖌️🎨 as long as you can! Right ❓🙏

I do pray you have much more time left to spend with your lovely wife and your family!

I so very much wished there was a total cure for this horrible life threatening disease Brent!

Lots of love to you and your wife 🙏🥰

your painting is so much more than a distraction - its an inspiration to watch the progress you have made and are still making - and to see what you will do next. You have made such good use of the time your treatment has bought you, all best wishes for Monday
