Cat portrait for belated off-topic Friday

This is from an online art class yesterday. I cannot help but fill animal portraits with emotion, though I am never sure what it is. Longing? Grief? Hope? I have no idea. Perhaps it is best that I do not anthropomorphise my pictures, but instead just relax and enjoy them.

As you can see, I am critical of my own work. That is, I have found, the best way to improve. No matter, I hope you enjoy this.
