Phycologists and all that jazz.

I have been seeing a phycologist, on and off for a number of years till suddenly they decided i no longer needed to see them and so signed me off. The woman said that if i saw her in the street to tell anyone who might be with me, to say she was my Niece? Why would i tell lies.?

The fact is i have recently been as low as i ever have been, and felt totally abandoned and alone and not knowing which way to turn.

They then sent me a questionnaire to fill out saying it was completely anonymous which i duly filled out and i told them they only were interested in teenagers and those on alcohol and drug abuse but not people like me who endeavors to work every day despite feeling so unwell.

And would i recommend them, certainly not and I reckon they will have sussed out who i was.

That’s a weird thing for a psychologist to tell you. I guess it might be a blessing to find another one. One door closes and another can open into a grand ballroom. 🍀

The same thing happened to my sister many years ago , she was signed off after seven years I think she had a dependency on the psychologist that they both recognised needed to be broken. She struggled at first but over time she recovered , got herself a little job ( she had been at home with three young children , too scared to go out into the world ) and eventually got her own business working with animals which she loved . By that time the children were older , she was much stronger and she left her marriage ( which she’d never been happy in ) and eventually started a new life with a wonderful man I think losing the psychologist forced her to take her attention from him and find that grand ballroom 😊
