I have 4 chronic diseases each with a different diet. Stage 2 kidney disease, Gout, Diabetes, colesterol. After taking to 5 dietitian's and 2 nutritionists and none of them have any idea what a meal would be that didn't harm one or more diseases. The killer was gout because it took away all my basic foods. I've been winging it for 1 1/2 years and it has brought me to a dangerous position. I lost 20 pounds and my protein was not latching. My protein was almost 0.

Thank you VGC3 for raising the issue on diet if you have several different chronic illness. Gout is a difficult one too because its about keeping the uric acids low which are raised by purines in the food. Many people don't realise a basic weight loss diet won't fit, I was adviced that for gout to eat smaller portions of the food to loose weight rather than changing the foods that you eat to control the flares. If that makes sense

Just wondering if you have joined the Early CKD Support community. I have stage 3 CKD and have recently joined, I’ve found some good dietary advice there.
