We were so taken up with having a new carpet put in that I forgot to post for off-topic Friday. My apologies for posting now. I revisited my picture of a puffin, painting it in more vibrant colours. I think she needs a name. How does "Rhiannon" sound? Rhiannon was a fictional Welsh queen in Medieval literature, and may have been based on an older Celtic goddess. Puffins abound around Wales. Regarding this picture, I like the mischievous glint in her eye!

Missed it!
A great painting and perfect name Brent. She’s a lovely puffin. Hope you’re pleased with the carpet. Xx
Your puffin is indeed a queen. 👑
That sounds perfect Brent. It really suits her. She does have a mischievous look in her eye!
Adorable and lovely BrentW, and no problem with the slightly late post. This is a bird with a glint in her eye and she’s so charming that Rhiannon sounds entirely appropriate!
I must point out that this painting is based on the source material for a tutorial by Goldster -- a website of classes in all manner of things from painting to aerobic, aimed at those of us who have reached a certain age.
I like both versions Brent interesting info re the name and definitely something going on behind those eyes 😂
Having grown up in North Wales near the coast , I have fond memories of the puffins and I also had a friend named Rhiannnon , so go for it . I think your painting is great and thank you for sharing !! Gill,,Mookie Fox.
