Something encouraging

Early in the year two young lads knocked on the door and announced that they had taken over our window cleaners business. They had invested in his little van and a trailer that carried ionised water and could they continue to do our windows for us?

they did not say anything but we think we may have been their first customers. They were very young and awkward and they got into a bit of a muddle with the long hosepipe and the knobs on the water trailer seemed to be a bit unco-operative so we vanished so as not to embarass them and they did a good job.

Yesterday a knock came at the door and outside were two smiling and confident young men back to clean the windows again - legal because they were outside and we were inside.

We had a chat about how they were getting on and how their shop customers were not getting their windows cleaned so it was ok but not great.

It was so encouraging to see how they had grown up and are doing "ok" in such difficult times because of course they are too new a business to qualify for government help. Quite made my day

It’s the small things that lift our spirits and keep us going Freda. Two awkward young lads have turned into confident young men.

Your post brought a smile to my face. I’m hoping our window cleaner makes contact next week.

Stay safe xxxx

That's a really inspiring story FredaE. Great to hear they are making a success of their business after self starting. I'm so pleased they are managing to keep going through these troubled times, as they don't qualify for government help. That's a real success story and I wish them both well. It really is a pleasure to help people like them succeed. I hope they will soon have some of their commercial customers back again.

That is a lovely story Freda. It's great to hear good news, especially during these times. It's also good to know that you have played a part in these two young lives.

Wishing you a very pleasant Sunday. Helen xx
