Thank you for your thoughts and good wishes

Thanks you to everyone who contacted me today to send me good wishes after my post regarding my husband's terminal illness. He passed away very peacefully at home this morning surrounded by his family. It is so strange without him here, because of his illness and bi we have spent most of our time together. We were lucky though, we had been married 55 years despite many problems and his bi.

thank you. He went without pain and we said how he would have appreciated it - having been up all night and grandchildren travelling from afar,- we were sitting on his bed chatting and eating bacon sandwiches in the early hours! How he would have loved that!

I'm so glad that you've been left with a good memory of togetherness at his passing and that it will help sustain you through the coming days. His long struggle is over now, and so sad though this time inevitably has to be, you know that you did all that you could for him until his very last moment. Bless you!

I pray that the 55 years to have been together and the treasured memories that go together with a happy marriage such as yours, will carry you through the days ahead.
