Truly is and when get moment to go shops this nothing AND that really is frustrating

Half these people running round panic buying want to try have real issues THEN go out and try do stuff

Before was just he’s conditions that was hard work NOW it’s everthing everywhere

Things will get better as stores are now limiting certain items. Also many like sainos will be opening at their usual time but the first hour will be for those with health issues and 70+. Stay safe. Xxxxxx

Sorry JAS, everything is a bit upside down atm and its hard enough for us to grasp let alone people with dementia. I am always thinking of people who have these conditions as I see it every day in my work and it is heartbreaking. You are doing such a great job as carer. It's so hard though some days and that's why it's good that you can let some of your frustrations out via this site.

Hi JAS,

There are sometimes moments of humour when interacting with Alzheimers and all types of dementia sufferers, but it's a very bitter sort of humour. I think it's OK to laugh at the funny moment, even in dark situations, so long as it doesn't descend into disrespect, but there's always a heartache behind it. But I agree with sassy59 that your dad is so lucky to be so well looked out for and after, by close family.

I empathise with you over the empty shelves in supermarkets. I think that this time around, unlike in shortages and crises of the past, the supermarket chains have been very slow to react to panic buying. And it's the one time when it should have been taken very seriously, and action taken sooner.

Plans now seem to be emerging to try and help the less able in society to get groceries and medications like paracetamol, but it is also true that it is down to thoughtless greedy people overbuying and not shortages in production.

So hopefully things will settle down soon.

Hi JAS and it is a terrible time when people who give no thought to others, go on a "buy all and everything "shopping mission. They dont even have a thought for the elderly, fail, disabled, poor mobility, care givers who are trying to buy items for housebound folk. Dont think I'dhave much of a clue until my beloved Mum had Dementia and then a severe stroke, just how much the rest of the general population couldn't care. Very disheartening indeed. Again, all power to you JAS for continuing to do what you do for Dad and also for yourself. Stay well-or as well as you can expect to be with all this added stress.🐿💕
