My beloved Gran is gone

A day ago, my lovely Gran passed away. I am a full time carer to my husband who suffered a traumatic brain injury causing a stroke and I was a part time carer to my Gran who had dementia. She went with the same grace that she showed on this planet and, although I will miss her massively, I feel blessed to have been related to the kindest lady I had the pleasure of knowing. Rest in peace, dear Gran.

Hi Jacki66,

What a wonderful thing to have posted about your dear Gran and what a fitting tribute to her. She was clearly very loved and I'm sure you are going to miss her dearly. How wise to know that, through your sadness it was a blessing to have had her in your life and in turn for you to allow her to go with such good grace too. Loving thoughts to you at this sad time.

My thoughts are with you.

Are you part of the headway community in healthunlocked? The community is for anyone with or caring for someone with a brain injury and I'm sure you will be made welcome.

Apologies if you are already a member.
