Not really a caring subject post but we went to see the new film Downton and really enjoyed it. We haven't been to the cinema for years but my Daughter is keen so we all went. Loved looking at all the costumes. Amazing. It must have been good to be rich then. Not so good being a servant 😁

Hi Lynd, Glad to hear it was a good film. I’m going to give it a try although I never saw the series. I once watched a really interesting series called the 1900 house about a Great House that recreated that period as a social experiment. Those who were ‘above stairs’ loved it. Those who were servants? Not so much! 🙄

I beg to differ that this isn't a caring post. Self-care is just as important as caring for another. We need to have time for R & R and some escapism is good for us all.

So glad you enjoyed the film. I've heard good reports, so hoping to go with a friend to see it soon.
