The home rang her to say mum is in hospital, my sister finishes work at 5.00 it's an hour journey over so we're not going in tonight, personally, I'm hoping mum has the transfusion and is then sent back to the care home, thank you for all the support and advice x

So long as mum is not kept in and is discharged withing 24hours she should be able to go straight back to the home I think That's how it works at the home I work at After 24 hours it's our protocol to go out and assess our residents before they can return
Hi Jennymary,
I've only just caught up with both your posts, and see from the second that things have moved on and your mum is in hospital. This seems the best outcome, especially as it was the one you wished for, and I wish you all the very best and that your mum is soon back safely in her care home.
Thinking of you and hoping your dear mum goes back to the care home. Xxxx
