Just over a year now since I was registered blind and having to make big changes to my life, I'm still trying to find a social life (I've been going to a Shared Reading group in my local library), purely be chance I've come across an organisation called National Women's Register (NWR) and I'm just wondering if anyone has come across them, until yesterday I'd never heard of them, thanking you in advance x

Not heard of NWR but could be worth looking into. All the very best to you. Xxx

Hi Jennymary,

I hadn't heard of this organisation at all, but your post caused me to go and look at its website. I think it could only be a positive for you to join, especially if there's a group that you could actually become active with. It has to be a means of making new friends and expanding your interests as well as continuing with those you already enjoy.

I see that there are 400+ branches and that they have book reading groups too.

So I'd say go ahead I might even give it a whirl myself!

Very best wishes.
