Carers allowance

My mums unable to get out and doesn't really get on with people unfortunately

So I have to do her shopping and take her out it does take a lot of my time I'm not complaining but I have grand kids and two daughters who also want me it's not easy am I entitled to any FIA rial help as going back and too to mum does cost she lives 6 miles away and I had to go 4 times in one day yesterday

Hello Sarbec, welcome to this community, You don't say how old you are or whether you work outside the home but on the right of your screen a section of 'Pinned posts' that can answer your question on Carers allowances. Also the CAB are very helpful and if necessary can assist with the completion of forms. Is there any way you can get some assistance for Mum from social services. Obviously I don't know her health problems but four times in one day does sound a lot of journeys and time consuming. Good luck.

She is registered partially blind and she's very bad on her legs

She's 90 yrs old

I'm 63 and just Finnished work

Thanks I will try CAB I don't get a state pension until 65

Carers allowance is payable if you look after someone 30 hours or more
