Yes but she can only so many hours a week, go to the gov.co.UK, all you need to know, there are many people who know these things inside out I'm sure one of the lovely peeps will turn up soon

I hope you get the answers you desire.

Philip.

Your wife must care for you for at least 35 hrs a week and earn less than £120 from employment and you must be in receipt of at least one of the disability benefits i.e DLA middle rate care, attendance allowance, PIP daily living component or constant attendance allowance. Hope that helps and you can understand my explanation. If not try ringing carers allowance unit 0800 7310297 or just fill in an application form incase you are entitled. I have no doubt you are entitled but not sure as I don't have all your info obviously. Best wishes to you both .

Hi mick1962,

I see that you've newly joined us, so just wanted to give you a warm welcome to this group, and I hope you'll find the answers you seek. It's not my area of expertise but I'm sure there will be those who do know or who can point you in the right direction to get the help you need.

Please do come back from time to time and let us know how you are doing and if you manage to make any progress with your claim. We are not only carers, but very caring too, and you can be sure we'll do our best to help with any problems in care which you might have.
