Well done for giving up your job to care for your grandmother, with regard financial assistance I'd contact either DWP or CAB, sending warm wishes to you, your grandmother and the rest of the family xx

redbail -- You will receive lots of good information here. Please let us know in what area your grandmother lives so you can receive information on where to look for financial help and other help you may need. I assume that being an amputee places some limits on your ability to lift and/or turn her. Get some information on what to do if she falls so you won't injure yourself. She is fortunate to have your assistance.

hi thanks she lives in the west midlands WS34DJ, i'm ok at lifting her as she is not heavy and i'm quite experienced in my position of disability, i'm hoping to give her as much assistance as possible giving up my P/T job to do so, as long as it covers my expenses i'm ok with it really I don't do much myself Chris
