Hi Pauline, my husband also had a left side stroke two years ago. He has lost the use of his left arm and shuffles his left leg when he walks, using a stick.
He also doesn't realise that he is no longer able to do the thimgs he used to do prior to his stroke. He doesn't understand why he can't drive a car any more and gets very cross when I try to get him to see sense and face up to reality. Life is not easy.
