Hi All
My daughter has IC2 LOM
She has macroglossia and other suggestive features but not the hemihypertrophy.
Do the children with all kind of genetic mutation get hemihypertrophy?

Many thanks for your question and sorry not to have replied sooner. Hemihypertrophy is now called lateralised overgrowth. The Consensus statement for BWS said that lateralised overgrowth can occur in all molecular subtypes of BWS. The recommendation is that any leg length discrepancy should be monitored by clinical examination. The group also recommended that growth charts for people with BWS are needed but to my knowledge there hasn’t been any progress on this. Our son does have a 2cm difference in his leg length and it does cause him problems. Do give me a call if you have any further questions.
Best wishes
