Tinnitus Free for 6 years

Hi I had screaming tinnitus right ear from 2012 - 2015 when it started to tail off and was gone by 2016. Silence until 2021 when it came back one night after a horrible burning in the back of my head . My vision is affected too (Visual Static -I can see the tinnitus) anyone heard of such a twisted tale?

Gosh !!! How unusual have you asked a specialist about this very unusual event of affairs . My tinnitus is the usual with some giddiness and fullness in right ear sends me off balance , but yours sounds very scary . How are you feeling now?

Still have the symptoms - been told it’s Visual Snow syndrome. Overactivity of the Lingual Gyrus area of the brain. Research going on in Australia-might find a cure for T..

What does it look like? I've had T for over 10 years. Occasionally (quite rare thankfully) I would see what I would describe as shooting stars going across my vision. Reading your post has me wondering if it's T related.

I have had migraine visual auras for over 25 years - black spots and. Zigzags - never associated it with tinnitus but perhaps there is a link. Don’t get migraine headaches though - thank goodness

Have you been seen by a neurologist? Sounds like migraines? I have tinnitus in both ears screaming 24/7. My neurologist said they are migraines but I seem to think it is from lack of blood flow to the ears or not enough oxygen to the brain. IV Ozone seemed to help this for me. I do use white noise at bedtime. During the daytime I can sometimes ignore it but if the weather changes then I ears can drive me crazy.

Hi yes seen 3 Neuros who all toldMe there was no such thing. Saw a fourth who said I have visual snow syndrome. Have you ever been evaluated for IIH?
