Acupuncture

Hi, new here. Am only a few months in, and already it's driving me insane. Dark thoughts in the middle of the night. I am the sort of person who like absolute quiet to sleep and now have to have white noise playing. I am going to try acupunture next week, has anyone tried this and had any success?

I tried it and didn’t help me.Maybe worth shopping around if there’re a few in your area and asking if they have any experience of treating the condition.Good luck

Thank you. I spoke to the lady who said it helped with her husband's. I am going to try and go in with an open mind.

I have had it for a flare up of an old neck injury - I found it increased volume of T - but still had benefits for pain management

When you are desperate , you will try anything, sadly did not help me a jot , though it seemed to make me less anxious, however the volume of T did not change.

As with many complementary therapies, there isn't a great evidence base for accupuncture having a direct impact on tinnitus. What I would say is to look at the claims which are being made, look at the cost of treatment and see how you feel after a session.

The NHS has a helpful page on accupuncture as a complementary treatment which you might want to look at.

Hello sorry to hear you have developed this condition..never tried acupuncture but regarding the white noise thing YouTube has a good tinnitus sound it takes the tinnitus out of you head and really helpful for sleeping just type in.. the most powerful tinnitus sound therapy should come up and you will see what I mean..

Sorry this dreadful affliction has affected you four years for me but it does get less noticeable as time goes on

I tried it, sorry to say it didn't do anything for me, except costing a lot of money, hope you have better luck,
