Ear blocked

Hi so yesterday my left ear is really blocked up I went doctors they gave sodium bicarbonate drops has anyone used theses how long do they take to work my ear is still fully blocked

Obviously the sodium bicarbonate is to break up the impacted wax - this can take some time ... Earol is another choice. I can never bear to wait for the wax to disburse so book in at an Ear Clinic and have the wax suctioned out - never have syphoning these days. Good luck.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR EARS SYRINGED!!! I had a blocked ear 2 years ago, used drops and then syringing at GP, since then permanent Tinnitus (no previous problems)

Thank you I’ve had my ears syringed several times but appointment isn’t till end of month as a waiting list just wish it would clear up soon

Hope I'm not to late to comment but I get wax in both ears and I go to the surgery where a nurse cleans out the wax using water irrigation. I have it on the lowest pressure, The down side is that I have to put olive oil in my ears for about 10 days before to soften it up.

Horses for courses - irrigation knocks my hearing for six and microsuctioning sends my T through the roof, so I steer clear of both.

Manual removal only for me.
