Hello how are you doing? Are you given the right amount of support from your family and friends? Mine was lacking. I hope I can live a freely, normal life. I hope I can work immediately so I can provide for myself and help my family. I hope I will have the courage to tell my friends and to my loved ones regarding my situation. It is hard for now as I am newly diagnosed. I hope I can attend social activities. I missed lots of social activities and events. 😔😔 I wish I can have a normal life like before. 😭🥺

I hope and wish for all those things for you too. Mostly my family know I have chronic illnesses but don’t want the details or to offer support. I have some friends who are supportive and some that aren’t. You learn to cope with it. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t lead a full life when your Bronchiectasis is well managed. You will have to be more careful around people with germs and you will get to the the signs of a pending infection. It’s usual to have a period of adjustment when you have been diagnosed with a chronic illness but you only have one chance at life so make the most of it. 🤗

My husband and daughter are very understanding and supportive, extended family not so much but it doesn't really bother me. I acted so have lost friends there but still have a couple of very good ones. I also have some new, kind friends made from new hobbies I've started. Once you have got over the shock of initial diagnosis you should be able to participate fully in, and enjoy, life. There will have to be adjustments but we will try to help.

A diagnosis is a positive.once u know whats wrong,u can get on and deal with it,learn how best to manage it.yr young+have whole life ahead of U.i hope u go back to teaching

Thank you so much for your positive encouragement 😌 yeah, it may be a negative result but I am positive now that I know what's wrong. Being more careful is the thing that I must practice from now on.

Yes it is.there r nose+ throat sprays to help protect against viral infection+ also help to reduce virus load if u pick one up! Boots etc sell thm x

Vicks first defence and I think my other is Coldzyme x

Can I use also the vicks vapor rub or the inhaler? Is it applicable?
