I've suffered from bronchiectasis since childhood. My consultant told me the lungs have very few pain receptors but I, very frequently have pain at the back of my right lung .
It's not the same as the pleuritic pain I get , this is a persistent throbbing pain at the "back" of my lung .
Has anyone else experienced this

i do get it when i have a chesty cough and when I go to sleep without clearance. What is the weather like? Cold might be a trigger. Try nebulizing with saline or inhale steam it might help. Otherwise consulting your doctor is always good.
Thankyou sunshine π I think as PatK1 said, it's probably mucus plugs . There are times when, despite using the Aerobika , physio, postral drainage, nebulising saline, and Acepiro drinks, you just can't shift of the gunk .
Every time I mention it to my consultant, she tells me the lungs don't have pain receptors , I feel as if I'm lying .
Thank you everyone !
I'm in the UK and the weather is getting cold π₯Ά , keep warm everyone & take care
