Is there any treatment for bronchochietasis, I have been diagnosed for 2 years, but received no help, except when I get infection, then I am given antibiotics.
I have inhalers for Asthma and COPD, but surely there is something for bronchietasis. ?

you should be given carbocistene to thin your mucus and also see a physio to teach you how to bring up your mucus and keep your lungs clear. You need to see a respiratory doctor that specialises in Bronchiectasis. GPs and general respiratory doctors are not very knowledgeable about it. Some people use devices to help clear their lungs. Again a physio will advise you on these. You should also have a supply of rescue antibiotics to take when you have an infection but some people have been having trouble getting their doctors to prescribe these. In the meantime you could look up active cycle of breathing on YouTube to see if this helps you. No cure you just need to be pro active to keep the infections away.
My nebuliser helped so much, given free by my hospital and shown how to use it by trained lung physios, keeps my lungs clear
I agree with Mooka - ask for appointment with respiratory physio, who should be able to advise+teach u to manage Yr lung conditions.self care is the mainstay of bronchiectasis management.if u get chest infection, treat it ASAP to avoid more damage, with at least 14 days antibiotics
my sincere thanks to your members for their help for the Bonchoietasis, question I asked about.
