It does to my elderly mother. In fact, apart from a general weakness, they are the only symptoms she gets - but they are devastatingly debilitating for her. If she has to get up in the night, she often can't get back to sleep because the breathlessness is so severe.

I joined this group last week to ask whether anyone else with the condition suffered the severe breathlessness but not the typical mucus/coughing that all other cases seem to feature. Do you have that as well?

Hi, how are you now? I am so sorry to read you were in distress and hope it is better now. Ive had similar experiences and had to all out ambulances but they always just put you on a nebuliser and it never really helps. Then they want to take you to A & E which is always the same - nebulisers that dont help. Then sending you home after hanging around all day and a very lohng journey in an expensive taxi. So pointless to go. If I go to see a consultant they give you more and more inhalers, ones I have already tried through doctor, useless.
