At my respiratory appointment last week with another consultant. Who is querying my bronchietasis diagnosis. Thinks it’s sinus rather than respiratory. I’m going for a ‘special’ scan to confirm whether he’s right.
I’m under an ENT specialist who at my last appointment in September said my sinuses looked really good.
Consultant wants to review me in 8 weeks let’s wait and see. Last consultant wanted me reviewed in 3 months in fact was over 9 months that’s with PN pushing appointment. Just wants me off their books!!!

Seems very strange to get bronch diagnosis wrong. I have sinus problems and bronch rarely get an infection that doesn’t involve both of them. Good luck I hope you get a definite diagnosis in the near future.
Just saw you’re post. I was first diagnosed with Bronch three years ago and then sinus problems followed. I had sinus surgery in June this year to open my passageways. My illnesses during the year previous were all sinus related, not Bronch exascerbations. It was difficult for me to figure out what was going on. My pulmonologist figured it out and sent me to an ENT.
Was your original Bronch diagnosis confirmed by a CT scan? If so, I think that's pretty definitive. Hope your special scan gives you the answer. Best wishes.
