bronchiectasis

I am so confused! I have COPD , also had TB a few years ago but wasn't aware I had bronchiectasis until it appeared on my records! believe me I know what it is now! My question is - do I take my antibiotics for a flare up of bronchiectasis? when I see the doctor I get conflicting information I.e., it's viral !! I know it's not viral, I have had 4 flare ups since January, one of which was infection (pseudomonas) which is lurking always, I have another which is the bronchiectasis?

Thank you for replying, I have bronchiectasis flare up at the moment but as far as I know I don't have a pseudo infection, my question is do I take my rescue antibiotics, I am feeling very tired and unwell, I know it's the bronch making me feel like this, I have the sticky phlegm, the raspy cough and generally fatigued . X

I have Bronchiectasis, and my doctors always wants a sputum sample prior to my starting the antibiotics. He wants to make sure that he is treating the bacteria with the proper drug. For me it's always pseudomonas, and Cipro is the drug that helps knock it down.
