No it's not fluid retention it's the top of my legs stomach bottom boobs hips ive gone from size 10/12 to 14

new to the forum I thought you might like to know that weight gain is a side effect of amitriptyline. Don't just stop it though without discussing it with your doctor as stopping suddenly can make you pretty ill.
Unless you absolutely have to, I would stay off as much medication as is possible. I am convinced that it has played a part in my liver disease, as I eat very healthily. GP's dont take this seriously when you mention it and think you are just being difficult. But believe me after a lifetime in nursing and my own experience, we have no idea what side effects and damage is caused by all the stuff that is prescribed (and over the counter medication( Look for natural alternatives. all the best.
