Hello,

My husband had been diagnosed just over a year ago with liver cirrhosis and Hep C genotype 3. He had been given the 6 month interferon/ribovirin treatment, this seemed to clear the Hep C, but about 2 months after treatment it came back, now he is waiting to go back on treatment, but platelets are not going up to atleast 60+. Have you had treatment? Or waiting for it? He has been taking Complan, which seems to have made his platelets go up slightly, this could be a coincidence! We are seeing the Consultant in a few weeks, so would appreciate any advice or avenues we could explore... This had come as a big shock, it's amazing how much we now know about these conditions... Thank you for taking the time to read this and respond to our question...
