hi. My GGT levels are 750 and alt levels are high. My red and white blood cell count is normal. I have been drinking a lot but not sure why they are super high. I drank the day of the test too. Can anyone help?

Your liver isn't happy. GGT, ALT etc are commonly referred to as inflammation markers - they are most likely high because (as you admit) you've been 'drinking a lot'. You need to give your liver more care because the longer liver inflammation goes on the more likely you are to sustain liver damage, fibrosis and eventually cirrhosis. Your doctor may order more tests to check whether you already have some damage. Complete cessation of alcohol would be wise but you may also need help with that if you feel you have developed a degree of dependency on it or drink alot as there are dangers associated with alcohol withdrawal.

BLT has a page about alcohol related liver diswase at:- britishlivertrust.org.uk/in...

You need to turn this around quckly or else your unhappy liver could quickly become a damaged one and that is to be avoided at all costs.
