The liver is great at healing...you are doing the right thing to eat healthy as your doctor advised. Get whatever support you can for the diet and exercise if possible. Your doctor could have a fibroscan done to get more info...it is not invasive and takes about 10 minutes. I just had one. British Liver Trust has a lot of info on fatty liver and a nurse hotline. Sending a virtual hug!

my doctor don’t seem to be bothered he have said just eat healthier lose weight I asked him can I eat any crisps and sweets at all as they are want I love the most he said if you really need them eat in moderation like one packet a week he told me they not keeping a eye on me or I don’t need further test so how do I know if my nafld id getting better and possibly reversed he not said nothing about a fibroscan

Hi, sounds as if you are moving in the right direction, changing your diet and starting to exercise. The British liver trust has a section on nafld which you may find helpful. You have been given a warning and hopefully you can reverse your nafld. Carry on.Hilary

I don’t know if nafld is the really bad fatty liver because it comes in stages and k not got Nash or cirrhosis or the alcohol fatty liver I got non alcoholic one I wish I wa getting checked regularly to se rid it’s going cz last night I had excruciating pain in my abdomen and under my boobs I felt sick but I got ibs and hiatus hernia to so it hard to know which ones playing up

It sounds as if you have been diagnosed at an early stage which is good, you can do something about it. I had no idea anything was wrong until I vomited up nearly all the blood in my, straight into cirrhosis and needing a transplant. The liver itself doesn't have any pain receptors so you don't get pain from your liver. Have you been checked for gallstones as this causes pain in the right hand side under your noobs but usually with extreme pain in right shoulder.. I've had ibs all my life and also got a hiatus hernia.Hilary

Try not to worry too much you are heading in the right direction.
