So after a flare up of acute pancreatitis that left him bedridden, when hubby got better last week I was hoping we'd seen the back of illness for a while.
Last night he rapidly started coming down with UTI symptoms that rapidly progressed to kidney pain. 111 referred us to out of hours, out of hours GP sent us straight to A&E. All night in A&E getting fluids, pain relief, blood tests, scan etc I was absolutely convinced this was kidneys joining the party that his liver and pancreas had started.
Blood results this morning - all liver function tests are within normal ranges, and what he has is a very boring, very standard kidney stone that should pass without surgery. So, moral of the story, never assume anything is down to liver until it's absolutely definitely down to your liver.
