The start of this journey, is high blood pressure and liver damage linked?

Due for a fibroscan on 10th July and have already started on Lisinopril. I'm not a heavy drinker but I am carrying about 6 stones more than I should be, I am a bit scared, so have eaten much better for a while before these test results. My ELF score is 9.5 is that really bad, can I help myself while waiting for the fibroscan? Anything to avoid or have more of. So far I've figured no salt, no fat. Any help or advice appreciated. Thank you
