Travelling to USA and Medication

Hey,

I spoke to one of the nurses over the phone recently about travel and was recommended to post here.

I am going to be travelling to the US California and wanted to know how much is travel/medical insurance on average for being post liver transplant.

I am also a little unsure of how to go about my medication I am going to need 2 weeks worth to bring with me, do I need to get a doctors note to bring with me as I have heard stories online of people getting certain meds taken away from them on arrival.

Any advice is much appreciated.

I have been to the U.S a couple of times recently without any issues. To be safe if you take a prescription receipt or online app detailing meds on your phone that will be fine.

Staysure Travel insurance is the best for me. £500 approx annually that includes my wife

Take your meds in your carry on luggage so you don't run the risk of lost suitcases and lost meds. All in original boxes with labels and a valid prescription. Belt and braces doctor might provide a letter detailing meds.

Thanks, I recently spoke to my doctor and asked if they could do a note for me. They told me all i need is the NHS App which shows my prescription and no need for a note, just hoping they are right on that.
