Hi all,

I’m due to have blood taken tomorrow for a liver screen test, I’ve already had a liver function test last week.

What’s the difference between liver screen and liver function test?

It could be AFP which is a screen for liver cancer. My regular blood monitoring includes Full Blood count, INR, Liver function tests, AFP, kidney function tests.

Possibly ELF (extended liver fibrosis) test.

The result of that will identify the extent of scarring and if "fatty liver" has progressed to cirrhosis.

Next step probably a fibroscan.

Treatment.
