Hi, can anyone explain.

In 2015 when my AMA antibodies were detected the results were strong positive AMA with a titre of 1 to the ratio 800. The test was repeated 3 times over a year with the same results.

Hi, I was diagnosed with PBC in 2016. My AMA has always been 1/800 titre, I do not think that the numbers correlate to the severity of the condition so I would not worry about that number. I presume that you are taking Ursodeoxycholic acid for PBC. Hope this has helped.

Why you not on meds. What was your diagnosis

In 2015 I had strong positive AMA 1:800 and biliary dyskinesia. Doc said it’s highly likely I have PBC but with no symptoms and normal LFT I was discharged back to GP no meds. Had my gallbladder removed privately during covid era so not had any follow up since 2016 from gastroenterology.
